This work is the result of an in-depth study related to deforestation and the power to survive in the forest; environmental degradation and the possibility of nature being regenerated through art. It is split into two lines of research, and so the result of the work offers greatly different aspects.

 

“ Cartographies for an Uncertain Future “ 2016

This work is based on "imaginary maps" and regions affected by deforestation, being regenerated through a contemporary artistic vision that prolongs the lifespan of these materials (wood) that has been chopped down and discarded.

​

There are elements of the study that fit into the theme in a symbiotic manner, such as beliefs of animistic origin. Although the work does not focus on the sacred or religious aspect, aesthetic references are drawn on to the relationship between these beliefs and nature. Fragments from different tree species interconnect, forming new paths/connections/passages and new solutions whereby the rigid form becomes more malleable, fades, falls, and returns to the earth, its place of origin.

A seguinte obra é o produto do aprofundamento na pesquisa relacionada com o desmatamento e o poder de sobrevivência da mata. A degradação ambiental e a possibilidade de regeneração da natureza através da arte. Ela esta dividida em duas linhas de pesquisa, portanto o resultado da obra é bem diferente entre si.

 “Cartografias Para Um Futuro Incerto”- 2016

​

Esta obra que se baseia em “cartografias imaginárias” e regiões afetadas pelo desmatamento, sendo regeneradas por meio de uma visão artística contemporânea que prolonga a vida desses materiais (a madeira) que foram cortados e descartados.

​

Aparecem elementos de pesquisa que se encaixam de forma simbiótica no tema, neste caso, as crenças de origem animista. Mesmo que o trabalho não foque no aspecto sagrado ou religioso, utilizo referências estéticas provenientes da relação dessas crenças com a natureza. Fragmentos vindos de diferentes espécies de árvores se interligam formando novos caminhos/conexões/passagens e novas soluções em que a forma rígida se torna mais maleável, desvanece, cai, e volta para o solo, seu lugar de origem.
